Single Squares of Sunnyvale will start up beginner’s modern western square dance lessons and everyone is invited to try it out. No experience necessary and a partner is not necessary. All you need to learn to square dance is to know your left from your right, how to count to 4 and be willing to move quickly. Dress comfortably (square dance attire is not required, in fact jeans work well). It’s fun, easy and great exercise set to music in an alcohol-free atmosphere, lower your cholesterol, plus you can make lots of new friends. Did you know that one evening of square dancing equals 3 miles of walking? www.singlesquaresofsunnyvale.org/
Directions: From 101, head south on Fairoaks Ave for 1.2 miles. Turn right at E California Ave, go .5 mile. The Community Center driveway is on the right before you reach the corner of N. Sunnyvale Ave.
